Objections to proposed electoral boundaries closed at 5:00 pm on Monday, 11 July 2011. For the most part, submissions included sufficient information to allow the Electoral Distribution Commissioners to assess the claims made.

In the case of submissions suggesting inclusion of the Albany district in the Agricultural Region, the Commissioners are seeking community feedback in relation to either the support for the change or retention of the district in the South West Region. The Commissioners are also interested to know the extent (if any) to which the views expressed or information provided would depend on, or be influenced by, the region in which the Shires of Plantagenet and Cranbrook are (or may be) located.

Responses are being sought by Friday, 19 August 2011 to allow sufficient time for consideration prior to determinations of final boundaries. Submissions may be made by post, email or fax.

The seeking of additional feedback on this matter should not be taken to suggest decisions have been made on related or other matters affecting final boundaries. Rather, the Commissioners are seeking information about whether this suggestion represents a viable alternative to which they could give further consideration.
